looking to swap out my stock turbo for an hx40. is it hard to do? noticable power increase? any feedback would be great.

 

what mods to your have to your truck already? injectors, box what? what do you do with the truck? daily drive, tow, race, dyno? the hx40 has a lot of different forms, theres 58mm compressor wheels with 7 and 8 blades to 60mm 6 bladed super hx40s. exhaust housing and wheels vary. Are you wanting to keep your factory down pipe ?

 

i have a quadzilla adrenaline. and i use the truck for daily driver/race truck. and i have an aftermarket 4 inch downpipe.

HX40 is a decent turbo but there are so many other options out there that you should look at also. Some turbos may build more boost but others will be more efficient at it. The swap is pretty easy from hx35 to hx40 but you may have to modify the wastegate bracket a little to make it fit and you just have to make sure you get the correct backside on the 40 that matches the one from the 35.
