has any one evey swaped out a five speed for a six speed in a 95 f250.. my trany is getting wore out 340,000 miles on it.. I am going to have to replace it... just looking at my options.....thanks

 

for the cost and time it would take to swap a 6sp i just dont think its worth it. you need the tranny, clutch, drive lines, transfer case, body lift and i could be for getting alot of things.

 

i was gonna do a manual swap in my truck. after the research i did on it, the only benefit you get from the ZF-6 is the granny gear and the hassel is not worth having a gear that you will use once in a blue moon. just go with another ZF-5, that would be the best bet
