Default what is a fair price on a 7.3

i have a 2000 f250 with a 7.3 with 150k miles. i am thinking of selling the motor out of it. has a new water pump. the motor does not smoke or use oil and runs good. Im running 37 toyos on my truck and the motor just doesnt do what i want it to do i even went to changing the 3:73 to 4:30 in the axles and im wanting to go to a cummins.

If your wanting to go to a Cummins just because, thats great... But a drop in Cummins is not going to offer anything more then a dropped in Powerstroke.

Have you modded the PSD any? Chip, Intake and Exhaust?

I have 37's and have no issue lighting them up when I want...

As to selling your motor... I paid $800 for the one I am running right now... I would say between $800 and $1500 is a good guess.

ive got a different turbo with heavier wastegate and a programmer and full 4" exhaust. i had propane injection but the local ford place cut my wires by accident. the truck just doesnt seem to spool up? its slugish goin up hills these toyos are heavy! broke the transmission input shaft thinkin i was gonna light them up too! while i had the tranny out i found i had an exhaust leak before the turbo. repaired that and it seemed better with the turbo lag.

Sounds like you have one of the drop in turbos that are known to be junk, they dont spool for crap...

My wifes Excursion has 37's, a 38r with a 1.15 housing, intake, exhaust and a chip... No lack of power there at all...

Sounds like you need to get a real turbo in there, some good tunes, and some gauges.

No Propane, and if you do sell your motor, dont tell anyone you were running propane.
