I just installed my new MBPR 4” exhaust and a level 3 tune from PPE (DPF delete). Everything runs good and for the most part sounds good, but I do have a little issue. When starting up the truck and at different times only when idling the truck makes a weird sound like its trying to pass gas or something then goes back to making the normal exhaust sound. I plugged the programmer back in and I’m not throwing any codes. Did any of you hear this sound before and know what it is or how to fix it, if it can be fixed. I’ll try to get a sound clip and upload a little later.

Thats your VVT turbo switching, it will be like a hiss then a rumble. EFI can change it to a constant rumble or VS.. PPE thats the way it will be..

That's funny, I was wondering the same thing about my truck!!!

 

I was also thinkin I had the same prob... but so far my truck doesn't show any signs for it
