Default Looking for a good scan tool!!!

Hey guys, we are looking for a good scan tool for our shop and was wondering which ones you would recommend and which ones I need to stay away from! We were looking at an OTC Genisys EVO 4.0 but after looking at some of the reveiws I found im not to sure about it anymore. I need one that is going to do not only basic car diagnostic but also in depth diesel diagnostic such as injector balance tests and so forth. Thanks for any info!

Computer based? Computer based? You want computer based.

Start your search with "AutoEnginuity" and "Auto Tap". In-depth Diesel stuff is available if you buy the right add-ons.

I just bought an AutoEnginuity off eBay a few days ago.

If you want to look at anything beyond the most basic signals on a Diesel, you will need the add-on software that they sell for $250 per make.

Had the A.E for almost a yr, i have the proline bundle. Been very happy with it so far. Have had chance to plug into ford's 7.3, 6.0, 6.4, and 1 cummins, and havn't been dissapointed yet.
