My buddy bought the truck yesterday, clean az truck. The guy he bought it from told him it has a bad injector which you could tell but as the truck came to temp in smoothed out. On the way home the truck ran fine but all of a sudden it surged and died. it wasnt hot and had good oil pressure BUT when we pulled the dip stick there was nothing on it, oil was leaking out of the valve cover that the ford teck used rtv to seal it back up with after he tested the bad injector. I figured if it was that low it didnt have enough oil for the HPOP system. Filled with oil and still no start. Checked fuel filter and it was full of fuel. Where do we go next please help.

when turning over does the tach spin? if not try n replace the cam position sensor. jus one place to start. Those valve covers are bad are bad about warping when over torqued, when u get them off use a straight edge and check that. GL

if it is really low on oil it is possible to have air in the hpop system and that will cause it not to start had that happen on mine when the o ring let go on the hpop rail behind the alternator had to fill it with oil and turn it over till it fired hope fully that is what is wrong with it
