high idle?

Default high idle?
hey all i know on my 7.3 it's got a high idle actuator on in next to the ip wondering how to activate it or if ti's something else.

Not sure on a 7.3 but I'm going to guess its the same as a 6.9, but on my truck it automatically goes into high idle when I start it up the first time for the day.

turn key to run, depress throttle pedal, start truck. will be on high idle then unless the solinoid is junk.

You have to press the pedal to activate it, the solenoid isn't strong enough on it's own to move the throttle lever.

but that acuator lookin thing is the high idle though? just wondering exacly what it is.

looking at the pump from the front, on the left side closest to the thermostat housing is the high idle soloniod.
