highway with off road?
I ran low in my 98' dodge on highway diesel fuel so i just took some off road fuel from the farm barrel. My buddy said that mixing highway and off road is hard on injectors. Do you guys know if thats true?
Some states require that dealers, lube shops, and other licenced repair facilities report the presence of red dye if it is discovered during thier work, or they also face a fine. Have never used it but i hear it dyes everything and takes forever to come out.

In N.C. it is a hugh fine close to 5 figures for each "incident" caught. I have been told by my friend that is a DMV inspector, that the only differance is the dye used for tax reasons. I have a farm and have always been tempted to just take it from the fuel station on my farm....
Yeah, NC is very tough on it. Numerous times I have had my tank dipped. It dyes everything in your system.
I've watched diesel tanks fill up many-a tank... and it's the same diesel.. then they dump the red dye in... and that's the end of it.
I got dipped after running red off-road for about a month last year (off-road on a family members farm) and even five months later the residue was still in my system, thank god I had a fuel leak at the time and he saw it dripping normal diesel.

offroad diesel has a higher sulfer content then regular premium diesel. plus obviously its not taxed so no road use. although i have been known to pull up to the offroad diesel pump and just stick it in my filler neck, risky i know but they dont check alot here in michigan. its pretty much all i run in my truck, that or trans fluid
