So if a fella's cummins was lifted 4 in.???
I got a cummins with 4 inches of lift. What's the absolute biggest tires i could go with without havin to do "custom body work" to make them not rub?
I would suggest not to go to crazy as on the streets you can stuff the fenders full of a tire but if you end up hitting a large enough speed bump or anything to push the tire into the fender you will be forced to do a fender mod. Also something to think about is the wheel specs because going straight is easy on these large trucks but the turning is the problem and the wider and less back space wheel you use will kill the turning and fender rubbing.
Do you have a wheel in mind?

Yeah, I have a 4" lift up front and then 2" in the back w/ add a leaf and firestone airbags. I'd like to stick with 35's. Don't want to go too tall so I can tow. But i like my traction and up here in idaho, mud terrain's are good to have. I was thinking a Toyo M/T 13.5" wide if i can.
I just hauled a bunch of crap (crossed scale at 17K with car on trailer) on 365/65R-16 Toyo ATs (34.5X14.5), it was a stable ride. The only thing that I would do differently would have been to mount them on 16X12s for a better wear pattern.
If you already have the lift on, just measure center of the rim, or cap out all around, and give the fender a couple inches ... then divide it by 2 ... and buy em ... Toyo MTR are nice tires ... The KM2 are also very nice wear, and 10 ply high weight rating ...

The lift is solid now, and i had the woman turn the wheels to the right and left a few times so i could see what i'm up against. I have 2-3 inches of clearance all the way around with 35/12.5's... I'd like to aim for traction rather than hight so i'm thinkin 13.5/14.5 wide ... the fella up top has 14.5 toyo A/T's on his ford.... how do those wear???
