lb7 surging at idle

Default lb7 surging at idle

replaced the cp3 with a new industrial injection 42%pump now the truck surges at idle and i cant keep prime at filter housing need some help please

do you have a lift pump on the truck?

with a moded pump on a stock truck it can surge at idle there will have some recalibrations that have to be done.

check for leaks at the filter housing also

yes have a fass 150gph !

when i first start the engine it idles great for about 5 seconds thn surges

I have a new o-ring kit ordered for the filter housing also

O ring kit should solve the prime issue, but a good percentage of guys who put on modded pumps have to tune the surge out.

yup, if you have a problem surging monitor your rail pressure at idle with efi live, if you have it

im also getting a p0089 code which is fuel pressure regulator code but the pump and reg. were both new

Probably getting the code due to the pump. If the computer is seeing irregular pressure and is trying to account for it with the regulator it's probably popping the code thinking something is wrong. Sounds to me like you need to tune idle pressure with EFILive or call whoever's programmer you're running and see if they'll tune for the larger pump.

just got a new regulator from industrial put it on and no diffrence still surges at idle im begining to think im not getting a signal from somewhere to tell the regulator to open
