Hey guys! great site!

I was wondering if there where any resources out there that would help me find the production #'s on 94-97 extended cab, short bed, 5 Speed, 4x4, power-stroke diesels out there. I've been looking into them for awhile now and I think the styling and engine package would make a great first truck.

I didn't see mileage information in the diesel FAQ thread, what's a good amount of mileage to start off with if you want to keep it around for 10+ years as a DD and get another 250k out of it. Are there any powerstrokes out there with this kind of mileage? Or is the 1/2 million a cummins only thing?

 

If you start out with a good maintained psd with 200k on it you should be able to get another 200k out of it fairly easy. To be honest with you if you take care of any of them they will most likely out last the truck.

 

my brother bought his 95 extended cab 5 speed 7.3 4x4 w/ 190000 miles 2 years ago now has 230,000.still runs like a ford.

 

I dont know how many they made but my brother just bought a 96 extended cab shortbox 5 speed 120000 miles for 7500, almost mint and hes been offered 10k for it. It gets around 20 mpg.
