Hello,

New guy here with some questions. I have narrowed my search to basically two trucks.

Truck A) 97 f250 powerstroke 4wd 5spd, No rust 189k. Truck checked out using all of the info I got from this site. Price on it is 7995
Truck B) 99 f250 powerstroke 4wd 6spd basically the same truck but newer as the 97. Price 10900.

Im torn and would like anyones input on if either truck has a leg up on the other. Both checked out fine. Im looking for basically an all around truck. Its going to be my main transportation, for right now.

All input is greatly appreciated.

 

If it was me I would get the 99 not only is the truck newer which is nice. Also the 1999 7.3 has 250 hp 500 ft lbs vs the 97 only has 210 hp and 425 ft lbs not to mention the older ford trucks has that Twin I Beam front suspension thats kinda known for terrible tire wear where as the the 99 has a solid front axle which in my opinion is alot better

 

get the 99. If its a LATE 99, all the better.
