starting issue
okay so when i first fire the truck up in the morning i doesnt wanna start have to turn the key a coulpe times but its cranking not the starter. but after it fires up it will start great for the rest of the day even if its cooled down what do you guys think
If its the 97 in yoiur signature then I would say its allowing air into the fuel system and loosing its prime. The sitting overnight versus driving it and daily starting is why it is hard to start.
It's also posssible the idle is too low. Try a little throttle to start, if that helps, go here; Ram Diesel Problems
Otherwise, a common problem is the old rubber fuel lines getting old. They start to let air in and you lose prime. Takes a few minutes to get it back.
