I don't think too many guys do their own trannies. Most either have a fully built tranny or a stock one. The stock one's hold up to some decent power.

should be fairly easy, be sure to have an extra set of hands though, a little time consuming but not bad

they do, but these transmissions arent the lightest and if it ends up in your lap, you will want somone there to help out, but you will have to basically drop the trans. or slide it back a ways, its about 14 inches long give or take, just time consuming is all, nothin real complicated

Have you broke the stock one, or just doing it for peace of mind? What kind of power are you pushing? If you do this, take some pics and post them up!

Are you running a stock 5R110 right now? How is that possible! haha

From what I've seen on the forums with Cummins conversions, most guys end up NOT using the 5R110. Even though it's a great tranny behind the V8's, they don't seem to hold up well behind the torque of the cummins (even when they're built), just engineered for different powertrains. BUT, most of that is just forum hearsay.

yeah, im getting the billet imput shaft, and i already have a suncoast billet tripple disk convertor. i should be ok with PROPER TUNING, but that may be a task to get it right.
i was gunna put the suncoast extreme rebuild kit in it right now. but why put it in when its fine right now

I hear that. Stock 5R110 converters are already triple disk setups just FYI too.
