Question Repalcing frost plugs

Has anyone replaced the frost plugs behind the tappet cover on a 1996 Cummins 12 valve? Other than removing the fuel pump, any other ugly issues? I am getting coolant in the oil, I lose about a cup in 4000 miles. Milky residue on the dipstick, out the breather and under the valve covers. Had the head gasket replaced and head checked out at the machine shop. Cummins suspect a frost plug has a pin hole in it, as they have seen this before.

I did them on my 1990, it aint that hard if the engine is out. with it out you can put the engine upside down and knock em into the block and then they fall out. Its hard to turn them little ones sideways and do it while the engine is still in. I suppose it wouldnt be to hard if youve done it before. The push rods may get in the way tho, same with injection pump.
