Unhappy poorly running 6.5 turbo diesel

need help. just bought my first diesel 92 6.5 turbo 213.00 miles on it. drove it home 290 miles and ran like a dream come true. i got about 30 miles from home and it started bucking a little and then when i started taking off from stop signs it woul want to die if i wound the engine up to about 1300/1400 rpm. made it home. next day it was a little hard to start. once it started it woul idle at about 850rpm then start pulsing from 500 to1500 then shut off just like you turned the key off. i read the owners manual and tried bleeding the air out of the filter and the water from the t handle. not sure if i was doing it right but did not seem to get much fuel coming out from either one. throughout the week it seemed to be running and starting better. i drove it to work on thursday and it was ok but still not quite right. today i put one ounce of bio clean from napa (they said it is what the dot uses) and changed the filter. no help.
currently glow light is working has to roll over a lot before it will start and can not step on the accelerator at all. once it starts if you rev it up to about 2000 rpm a few times it will die . if you just leave it idle it will sound perfect but will die in about 45sec to a minute

To bleed the air out open the valve on top of the fuel filter if it's automatic put in drive with the key of and turn the key forward like you are trying to start it this will run the fuel pump. Check the fuel pressure on it. Make sure the lift pump is running with the engine on it is on the frame rail right under the driver door. Make sure there is no air leaks in the line.
