Default white smoke

im working on a 85 6.9 turbo, it will run, idle, and sounds good, but it smokes like crazy white, and has a lot of blow-by. it dose not smell like a head gasket. what the hell is going on, has any one had this problem before. new pump, injectors, lift pump (on block)

Did you have it timed after the pump and injectors? White smoke can mean the pump timing is too retarded.

Just changing the injectors will throw the timing off. The pop off pressures will be different causing the injection event to happen at a different time. Replacing the IP will also throw it off since you cant just line up the timing marks and assume it's good. The timing marks are only useful with the original unmolested IP. The new IP will be in a different spot internally so lining up the marks only gets you in the ball park.

talked to some people and they wanted to know why he changed these parts to begin with? they said it could be down a piston or two or piston rings.

AND I DONT CARE IF IT WONT START DONT EVER PUT ETHER IN A MOTOR UNLESS YOUR RUNNING LOW COMPRESSION RACE MOTORS. HE PROBABLY CRACKED THE PRE COMBUSTION CHAMBER WITH A BACKFIRE OF ETHER. HE PROBABLY SPRAYED ETHER INTO IT AND THEN WAITED TILL THE GLOW PLUG LIGHT TURNED OFF THEN CRANKED IT AND THE SECOND HE TURNED THE MOTOR OVER IT ALLOWED O2 IN IT COMBUSTED. SO CHECK THE HEADS AND CYLINDER CROSS HATCH. THAT WILL TELL YOU HOW BAD THE RINGS ARE.
