Default Ive got a problem and need help!!

My truck has about 200,000 on it. I was coming up the mountain where i live and before i got to the top it started knockin. I just adjusted the valves prolly 5,000 miles ago. It still pulls and runs fine but it sounds deep... standing at the front of the truck with it running you cant really here it....but if you bend down behind the front wheel you can hear it real well. It does it ideling...it does it driving around like normal but i can lock the tc up and throw the fuel to it and it pretty much stops all the knockin. We brock the injector lines loose one at a time and narrowed it down to the #4 cyl. Has anybody had this similar trouble any help will be greatly appreciated!!!!!! Thank you tons!!!

Did it smoke a heavy dark grey color? Not so much at idle but when given any amount of throttle?

Pull the injector and look it over. It could be broken, or it may just be poping off way too early. I just had an issue with my 94 where it randomly developed a really good tick, and I chased it and chased it. Finally I narrowed it down to where it had to be an injector problem. It was, #6 was actually not sealing against the head and leaking just enough compression by to create a tick, but not enough to cause performance problems. I towed an 18k lb trailer like that with no issues. So, pulled all 6 injectors, took them apart, cleaned them, pop tested them, reinstalled them with new coppers. Runs like a champ.

Ya not to steal somebody elses thread but when i pop tested my injectors they popped bout 700 psi less they shoulda and all of them had a dribble to them. They are bosch injectors i guess one of the symbols on there is a bosch symbol. but my pickup runs like crap now. and i have a grayish haze. i'm doing my timing here pretty soon also. is there any way i can rebuild the injectors?
