Default Turbo Swap Done With Pics*

ok guys kinda going to give you guys a rundown of things your going to need to do to get this going bare with me I have never done this before
a few things your going to need for this type of swap t4 mainifold turbo to a t3
5.9 exhaust manifold
5.9 exhaust elbow
2 plugs for the block and coolant line
a T3 manifold gasket
a 3/4 heater hose for the oil return line extention (thanks bthanks worked great) will be a very tight fit
2 bolts for the turbo in case your turbo doesnt come with any
one other person at least this isnt really a one person job the turboes are pretty heavy
I know I am forgetting something so you guys are welcome to tell me what it is

We had to plug the the coolant lines for the old vgt turbo got mine from wally at fte diesel one in the coolant tube seen here on the fire wall and the other in the side of the block

Also you need to unplug and remove the oil line from the turbo to the oil filter housing

in these pics you can see the coolant line bracket bolt we had to remove these in order to have enough room to get the turbo out

yeah this gasket wont work so we had to make one works great thus far

side view of the truck as you can see we removed the inner fender well for easier access also removed the batt box for more room

you can see the 5.9 manifold has two studs in where the 6.7 has one so another words if your turbo doesnt have bolts with you will need them I happened to have some laying around that worked

install your boost booat again and put everything back together and your good to go
