Default setting valves on 12 valve

What should i set my valves at. I need to change valve cover gaskets and i thaught i would check my vavles.

10 thousanths intake

Will it hurt anything for the valves to be a little bit tight because when i put in the head bolts it pulled the head down like 2 thousands more than it was.

headbolts have nothing to do with valve adjustment..

I'd check them again, but 8/18 is OK as long as they are running out, which they usually do.

if the head went down .002, all you would have to do is re adjust your valve lash and you should be fine.
