Default 6.7l Steering Problem

I have a buddy of mine that has the 07.5 6.7L. He had the passenger side lug studs snapped off. When he was replacing lug studs he cracked the brake bleeder and ever since then he has been having steering issues. When turning it gets real hard to turn you need two hands to turn it. Does anyone have any ideas of were to start.

My steering box cracked, according to dealer because of turning wheels while stopped, there is a aftermarket bracket that can be purchased that helps support it, which I will get because a steering box replacement was $1020 and the bracket is under $200
This happened at 59000 miles
