P0480 = Fan clutch
Possible Causes:
FAN CLUTCH
WIRE HARNESS DAMAGED
OPEN FAN CLUTCH (K160) DRIVER CIRCUIT
(K160) DRIVER CIRCUIT SHORTED TO (K690) RETURN CIRCUIT
(K160) DRIVER CIRCUIT SHORTED TO BATTERY NEGATIVE
INTERMITTENT CONDITION
ECM

P1652 = J1850 Short to ground
Possible Causes:
ECM
(D25) J1850 SHORTED
COMMUNICATION

So it's possible the ECM is bad. Still under warranty??

Sounds like a small electrical gremlin. If it was the ECM, CEL would be on all the time, along with a funky running truck. Code popped up, but cleared the CEL itself. So what ever happened, it fixed itself. Just for stored codes now is all.

ok well just getting the p0480 code still, cleared it and it stayed off a few days. then checked the codes again and it poped up. Ill look for harness to see if the wires were cut.

I do have another problem as well, my speedo is sticking. could it be dirty inside? looks clean but maybe the last owner was a smoker and the gunk is affecting the needle. any ideas?

It's sealed pretty tight. Only thing I can think of is a faulty ECM.
