Default Reasons Why

Why did this truck only make in the 450hp area? A couple reasons, one being that small drum no load dyno, they should have had the pulling lawn tractors on there instead of the trucks. Second, that Adrenaline is overfueling at the bottom, and breaking up on the top end, not a good combination for any form of good results. I would be interested to see a standard Comp box to replace the Adrenaline, and put it on a 248H or 248X Dynojet.

dyno is just a tuning tool... When my truck ran a 13.8 @7400lbs i had it dynoed a few weeks later with the same tune and made 362 hp. was it off? maybe but if its consistent then it would be a good tool to test upgrades.

and you can go to one dyno itl read 400hp and go to another itl read 500 for you.

every one there thought that dyno was a joke besides baileys. i honestly dont think baileys 3rd gen is 650, and i know kirks wasnt a 500hp truck, it is higher, and i know smokin u truck aint 500. the truck in question, needs to get on a better dyno, a more reputible, and more set up for diesels.

20% load on that drum size is as good as no load.

So me not knowin much about dyno's here, am I understanding it right then in assuming that Dyno's are pretty much worthless then except for tuning your truck if you run on the same machine each time to asses gains.
