Default EGR delete kit. Is it good or not good

Hello, I am new to this whole thing but I am looking for some answers and hoping someone can give me some guidence. I was trying to find out is it better to clean the EGR or should I make the purchase of a delete kit?

Buy an SCT programmer, Talk to Eric @ Innovative Diesel and have him write you a custom SCT program to turn off the EGR and put more HP under the hood.
