Im about to get an SCT X3 for my 6.0L and i was jw what you guys would get for the custom tunes? I want good fuel economy, most of that is how you drive, and i heard that the Xtreme Street tune will give you the best fuel milage. Is that true? And with that setting will i have to worry about my head studs or anything like that? B/c i read that Eric makes a tune that gets up to 420 rwhp! Im gettin the SCT and tunes from Eric at Innovative. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Just let Eric know the mods to your truck and he will work his magic. I ran the Extreme Race tunes on both my 04 and 05 and never had issues.

Dieselhead Jake,
Just explain to Eric exactly what you are looking for from the tunes. I can't verify the better mileage because its too much fun playing with the skinny pedal.
Eric has tunes that are safe for stock engines, that will still put a big smile on your face.

Just FYI, I talked to the guys at Innovative yesterday and felt a lot better after the conversation. Don't know who I talked to, but I'm about as new to a diesel as they come. The guy was very helpful and explained everything to me without talking down to me. He recommended a couple things that would not only make the truck run better, but more importantly keep it safe. I would highly recommend talking to those guys. When I'm ready to pull the trigger and do my mods, they are definitely who I'm going with. They don't try to blow smoke up your butt and they don't try to sell you more than what you need.

I just ordered my sct x3 from Innovative. Ted was more than helpful with any questions I had. He made some recommendations and I ended up getting the Xtreme race, Xtreme street, and an economy tune. Now just waiting for this holiday weekend to end so I can get my tunes. I would recommend giving them a call.

Just a question on who is Innovative and or SCT. Is Innovative, Innovative Diesel? and is SCT the same company. I'm a little new to these companies and want to get the right stuff.
