Default Ratchet noise from 09 SD

Gentlemen,
I just purchased a new 09 Sd crew-cab with the 6.4.
Hated to see my 7.3 go, but it was time to upgrade.
Two weekends ago I was traveling to Canada, pulling my walleye boat (20 ft lund on a double axle trailer). Boat was well loaded as was the back of the truck.
Traveling up Miller Hill in Duluth, Minn, I was in Tow/Haul mode and pouring the coals to my Powerstroke kinda heavy in order to stay with the flow of traffic. Halfway up, i hear a fairly loud ratcheting noise from the middle-middle/front of the truck. Sounded like a slip clutch or something similar. I backed of immediatly and it disappeared.
Anyone ever experience this. It has me worried.
Thanks
Weaver.

I have heard this sound a few times also it just seems to pop up when you are kinda getting into it on steep grades. I was amost thinking it was a loud fan or something but it does sound pretty bad when it does happen
