in my truck I have the juice with attitude and the boost will only get up to 20 at the most when I stomp on it...is there something I should do? I'm new to diesels...I'm only getting like 17mpg too..please help! Thank you

 

Have you cheked to see if you have a boost leak? Check your intercooler boots for cracks.

 

i checked my turbo it was turned up but i pinched part of it down so i could turn the rod a little more i can get up to around 28lbs now

 

yeah a stock, unmodified auto turbo will NOT boost about 20psi much at all. The most I ever got was 23psi without a J-hook. J-hook got me up to almost 30. You might want to start thinking into keeping that tranny COOL and fueling the VP44. If you havent swapped in better parts for those, start thinking about it. Not sure how many miles you have on your beast but you need to be carefull if you havent already taken steps to protect those two areas. I love my truck, but the stock tranny and lift pump SUCK!

put a manual boost gauge to compare as mine was off on the big end edge say 39 manual says 48

 

My truck only boosts to 20psi. It was stock until I just installed +75 injectors and an Airdog 150. But it still only makes 20psi. I might try tweaking it some to get some more boost.
