Default Cummins hard starting

My truck will start if engine is cold, but if i drive somewhere, turn it off, come back and try to start it, it turns over and sounds like it not getting any fuel. When cold, it cranks longer than it used to, but starts. at first i thought maybe the popoff valve went so i bought the bolt to replace the banjo bolt but that had no effect.

Thanks in advance for your help

You need to get a fuel pressure gauge and see if your getting fuel. Might be time to upgrade the system. Airdog of Fass.
Check for any fuel leaks in the system.

there are no p codes. If i cycle the key with the trip odometer reset button held in i get c codes of 23 39 a7 09 aa 11. In reading other threads i was wondering if this could be air in the rail. Heres more info. If i drive somewhere, shut off the truck and immediately try to restart, it will spin for approx 10 sec then start. If i wait more than ten minutes, i'm gonna wait till it goes cold again.

Down by the ac compressor, there is a group of wires. Spray em down with a can of non chlorinated brake parts cleaner. Might be what's causing the issue, and only be a $3 effort.

ive inspected those wires for nicks or spots where they would get cut or ground themselves but they are tywrapped so they are away from any metal. Is the reason for spraying down to eliminated contaminants like salt spray etc?

Not ripping on ya, but it helps to fill out the signature. That way we can better help you out. Try and remove the predator, and see if it helps cure the ailment.

I don't have the power puck, just the programmer. I have tried all the settings and put it back to original.
