Default ENGINE SWAP

First time poster: Looking for advice on swapping out 1996 dodge ram v10 engine with a 1996 cumnings diesel 5.9. I have the diesel complete donor truck (heavily damaged front end) . Have my eyes on a 1996 v10 extended cab 4x4 and require details on swapping out engine and tranny and ??? . Trucks are same year.
Thanks in advance Old Smokey

Should be a fun time. Heck of a lot easier than the one we are doing. Took the V10 out of a 96 and shoving a 92 12v into it. Most of the hang-up's we've run into were caused by the 12v. So it shouldn't be that bad.

The motor mounts should line up between the block and the frame.

You will have to wire up a heater grid light.

Good luck and keep us updated

Also remember fuel lines and tank will have to be switched over, new or flushed out well.

Pretty common swap to do. You can get away with just flushing your tank out, or swaping the other tank over would be easier and a lot cheaper. good luck.
