Hi gentleman I'm new to cummins and I am just trying to sort out some things regarding vp44 motors.
in perfect life my motor lasts until I don't need the truck anymore but life will always get into he way!s*** happens
so I have been informed that 98,5 to 2000 run on cam sensor and 2001 to 2002 crank sensor or vise versa, so does that mean if my 2000 goesto the grave ,so d i need to have the year in which the sensors goes with my ecm,or can ecm be flahsed?

I sent you message big red ,my truck is actually 2001 and had opportunity to buy a low mile 1999 cummins ,but was told my ecm won't run that motor...
can cummins flash or reprogram ecm to run a different year motor?
