Brake load compensator valve

Hi everyone, I have a mk 6 ford escort van, I have turned her into a small stealth camper, so I will no longer carry loads, Would it be possible to remover the load compenstion valve from the back axcle. for the next MOT as the old one has gone **** up sort of thing..
