Default won't boost over 3psi

Hi all could someone help me with an issues I'm having? I can't seem to get my truck to boost over 3.5psi, and it's rolling coal on acceleration! It doesn't smoke at idle just on acceleration which I believe is a boost issue. It has a boost control mod from kennedy. I've replaced the boost solenoid. No change.. it seems to have some vacuum (at idle) from the pump. Also the waste gate actuator arm can be moved by hand pretty easy ( engine running) I was going to replace it but none of the big parts houses have one, nor can get it..:arch:
Has anyone eliminated the OEM vacuum boost control? Ic kennedy and health both care spring actuator kits to eliminate it, does that mean I can just take all of the vacuum components off? Any help would be appreciated..
THANKS ALL!

You should not be able to move the waste gate actuator arm with the motor running. You need to check for damage to the vacuum lines as well as checking to see if the vacuum pump is pulling at least 20in of vacuum. I have installed the MBC by heath. It is a very strait forward install ~20min. You can lookup instructions on how to build your own for less than $20. The removal of the vacuum pump would take care of your boost issues but if you have a ERG valve this will create a new issue for you.

Where are you located at?
I have a new pump if you need to replace it.

Thanks for the input tornado.. I actually just got the boost master from Heath today. I haven't installed it yet. What kind of issues are you referring to on the ERG? Not sure if I have this what do I look for? Is it like an EGR on a gas motor? I do have a valve coming off the valve cover with a hose going into the intake side of the turbo.. Also can I eliminate the complete vacuum system mins the map, boost sensors?

This is the EGR. It is controlled by the vacuum pump and the second solenoid.

If you do have an EGR system you will get a check engine light for the EGR not working. This can be corrected when you tune it, they can remove this code from the system. If you do not have a EGR system you will be able to remove the vacuum pump and install the shorter belt off of the 93 6.5
