I'm new to diesels and it was the first time I drove it on the high way and it wouldn't go above 69 mph. There are no light on. Starts up and drives fine. Once I hit 69 mph I can keep pressing the pedal but I only lose engine power and it stays at 69 mph. I called the ford dealership and they told me it might be the throttle pedal sensor. What do you think? Please help. Thank u.

 

what gear ratio does your truck have ?? & what size tires do you have on your truck ?? those two things can limit your top speed.

 

I beleive your govenor setting in the ECM is limiting you to this speed .. you may want to take to dealer or someone who can re-flash ECM's ...

 

If you have a programer you may want to check it cuz i know mine lets me set govenor idk
