KDP question

Just took front off my front cover 1996 2500 4x4, no dowel pin showing (or even a hole) ....does this mean I have an updated timing cover (that the pin doesn't come through all the way?)

I think Chrysler had a recall for it and maybe the previous owner had them fix it.

I haven't heard of a recall like that from Chrysler. You could have a newer timing cover.

I was just told that by my mechanic. So I don't know for sure.

I've never heard of this, I've seen 5.9 24V's that had KDPs. At least... I think I have. Never mind. I take that back. Let me think about it.
