Hey guys im lookin to put larger tires on my 2002 7.3. I currently have 35's on it right now and I'm looking to put 37's or 38's on her. I know that on most trannys that anything over 35's you have to re gear? if that true what do you all suggest? Or how should i go about it? Thanks for any help ya'll

I imagine by stock it's 3.73's...

I run 35" all terrain and 37" muds occasionally.

I'm running is 4.56 gearing.

Of course engine mods and a beefed transmission.

Going to throw in a gear vendors
under/overdrive auxiliary transmission in the near future.

After that. Probably bump my gear ratio to 5.10 for what I'm using the truck for.

Leave it, have a friend who was running 3.73s with 37s and loved the cruising rpms. He swapped to 4.30s and loves the off the line power but hates the cruising RPMs. I think 4.10s would be about right for both
