Hey everyone I have a 94 cummins and owned it for quiet a while. About 6 months back the auto tranny went out so I swapped it with the manual swap I already have. The truck runs and drives perfect after I was done. My only problems were that the trans temp light is on and I have no reverse lights. Could someone please help me out and tell me how to get the trans temp light to go off and how to make my reverse lights work again. Any help would be greatly appreciated

 

is the transmission an nv 4500?

 

Yes it's the nv4500

 

there is a plug-in on the drivers side of the top plate that should be your reverse lights. I don't know if you can just plug the autos plug into the manual or if you'll have to splice the manual plug into the auto's harness. I don't know about the trans temp light, it probably needs to make a circuit and is not.
