So, I need a turbo asap cause my truck sucks uphills. I'm thinking of fabing my own since I read some posts about a holset turbo. My question is which turbo would actually fit and be easiest to mount. hx35,h1c,he351ve...... Or even a garrett or whatever is cheapest. So, I need someone who has done this and tell me what I need to do from step 1 through 5. What do I need and how do I do it. I have a pretty good idea, but I'm not sure which turbo to go with. Also my truck is a 93 n/a and I wouldn't run more than 10lbs at least for now.

 

Also would like to know, looking to make my own turbo kit and throw it all on her once I get the pieces , but don't know where to begin

 

Here's a guy running a HE351VE VGT on an IDI from a 6.7 cummins.

 

Dirtydiesel has put a lot of work into that fab for the turbo though, I'm looking for something that isn't going to be a brainbuster

 

yeah ive seen dirtydiesel's setup that turbo is way to big and u have to do too much work to make it work. I want something that mounts relatively easier.
