clicking noise?

clicking noise?

There is a clicking noise when I turn a/c on in my 97 psd,I put freeon in it and it still does it.

Does it click every few seconds to a minute while truck is running......? Might just be compressor clutch kicking in and out.

A while ago I was hearing a constant clicking from my compressor. Mechanic said it was bad. Disconnected and capped my A/C lines and installed an aftermarket Ford pulley in its place.
