What you call the "The Fuel Solenoid Pump" is by no means what its is-the PMD/FSD is what you are trying to get across.
PMD-pump mounted driver
FSD-fuel solenoid driver
Both of those terms are interchangeable and describe the electonic black or grey box mounted to the drivers side of the injection pump/IP that is very often relocated to a cooler area.
The best place to move the PMD too in my opinion is behind the frt bumper using a long bolt in place of one licence plat holder bolt fastening the PMD heatsink to the bumper and using a PMD extension harness.
The worst place to move the PMD is the intake manifold where vendors like SS Diesel advocates and demands and often is an included mounting option on many heatsinks-just because you can doesn't mean you should.
The PMD can not stand fast temperature changes so anyplace in the engine compartment is a bad location for a PMD-outside ambient air temp location is best,under/behind the frt bumper or behind the grill on a rad support.
Even inside the cabin is not ideal.
