Im new to this site looks pretty bada$$. just wondering if anyone has had trouble loosing prime on fuel system. I have a 04.5 GMC Duramax. Any suggestions????

 

common issue.

first place i would look is the bleed screw on the filter housing, they will often look ok but leak air past it. the O rings on the primer bulb some times leak too. there are filter housing rebuild kits out that are fairly cheap. sometimes it is the hoses after the filter that get old and dry and start to leak. one last place to check is the water in filter sensor, when over tightened it can crack.
