Hey im pretty new to all this stuff. I have a 12v with the nv4500 in it right now and I can find all kinds of swaps to manuals but I want to swap to an auto for drag racing. Anyone know what exactly ill need to do this? Thanks

How serious are you? I've got a 94 4x4 I wanna do a 5 speed swap on. Yours a regular cab long bed?

 

yea it is. yours 4wd? is the trans all stock?

tps
the trans
t-case
the steering column stuff
possibly the crossmember
the front and rear driveshafts

i think that is about it.

 

Yeah, 4x4, 47RH. I don't know its history. I was told when I got the truck it was mildly built with an aftermarket lockup TC. I'm probably putting at best 180 horse outta my truck and it doesn't give me any issues other then an OD shift I'm not sure about. I've got some trouble shooting to do. Like I said, I don't know what its built I just know it was used to tow a trailer

 

Hey fogg813 i want to swap to a manual. Where are you from? You can have my automatic and everything you need to do the swap and i can get everything from your truck to do the swap if you live close to me.
Im in North Carolina Ill even give you some boot to swap everything
