I got a 2000 7.3 with lots of mods but the edge juice-evolution I just do see any improvements at all. From 0-5 I can't see a difference. Could the programmer not be doing what it should. Or do I need to just get me a 6 pos chip? I know the programmer is installed correctly. Thanks for any help.

 

even though the edge is less than desirable it should give gains. if you want more out of your truck then get custom tunes

 

I do want more out of it. Question is can I change from the Edge to something like a 6 pos chip or something with custom tunes? I know the edge is wired into alot of stuff. Is it safe to switch? And is there anything I need to know before I switch over? And how makes the best tunes? I know im just full of questions but diesel programmers are not my thing.

each person has an opinion of whom has the best tunes, just contact the companies and decide on who makes you the most comfortable about the product and customer service. in the end this will be what your decision is based on any way. here are a few of the companies off of the top of my head> DP-tuner, PHP, TS,Beans, Swamps, tony wildman, No-limit, gearhead, diesel innovations, and myself. they are in no particular order and not sure who of the above are site sponsors just the most common of the top of my head.

 

I've rode in a buddy's truck with an Edge and there is definitly a difference between the low and high settings. Not saying its much good but there is a pretty noticable difference. If you want to go to a chip then you can't go wrong with any of the ones POWER-STRUCK mentioned. I have been running PHP for the past few months and have been very happy with them.
