Even if it does work. The VP44 will go into full retard mode and lose a good part of its power. I suggest highly that you don't worry about creating smoke. But looking for efficient ways of building power. Timing table below...

IT will throw a code, derate the engine, and you will have minimal power. Why do you want to unplug it anyway? Smoke?

 

Ya.. And I heard that it will give a lot more low end boost..

 

Not likely, it will likely give you LESS as the engine is in a safety mode, derate.
