Before purchasing my new livewire TS I tried to look up owners manuals on line... and couldn't find any. I figured "oh well, there will be one in the box". Low and behold, got my livewire ts today, opened up the box.... and no owners manual!

Is there no owners manual for a $500 piece of electronic equipment? If I purchase a $5.00 clock radio from Walmart it comes with a 50 page owners manual!

So, was it just missing from my box or is this a normal situation?

Unfortunately no there is no instruction manual. If you need help with it or have questions just ask. We use the Livewire TS in all of our shop trucks and know it inside and out.

I was wondering what backup camera's work with the system, and also I purchased a SCT EGT kit off of e-bay... I can't find any really good info on hooking it up to the livewire TS. I have seen two different wire connection numbers (an anolog, and a firewire) when people talk about using the SCT EGT... but no definitive "here is what you need, and how you do it" for setting it up.

I just opened the box and looked at the stuff before heading off to work tonight, so I don't have it in front of me... Amazed that there isn't a diagram saying "this is the camera port, this is the analog port, etc".

Any backup camera with a composite video out will work. It's a yellow RCA jack and will connect to the box that is inline with the obdII cable about half way up the cord.

The SCT EGT kit connects to the same box. You'll use the Firewire cable that came in the SCT EGT Kit, connecting from EGT amplifier box to OBDII input box on the Livewire TS.

When setting up the gauges, you will monitor analog input 7 and set the equation to SCT EGT. To change the gauges its mostly just a matter of double tapping the gauge you want to change.
