Intro

Hi, my name is Riley...new here, obviously. Just bought a 99 F-350 with 237,000 miles, but it has a 2001 7.3L motor in it with about 160,000 miles. Already I'm learning how much work this truck might be...I just replaced the fuel bowl and it looks like the starter might be going. I have to bang on it about every dozen starts or so...

Anyway, thanks for having me, I'm looking forward to both learning and contributing here!

Before you beat the starter to pieces, check the wires and cables at the starter and make sure they are not loose. maybe clean the contacts also. Could be nothing more than bad connections.
