hello everyone like to introduce myself from wisconsin, done alot of reading on the forum and no posting yet considering i can find most of my answers in the massive amount of info and knowledge here... anyways i have a a 92 ih 4900 quadcab dt466 with an mw bosch inline pump. 190hp factory, mt654 its only job is to pull my 37' 8 horse trailer around does pretty well too but theres always room for improvement...
the first issue ive been up against is the gauges (from what ive read its a fairly common one) in my attempt to find a used one from a relatively near yard they wanted 400$ which seemed absurd to me but oh well
my solution was to hard wire aftermarket gauges myself the only problem ive run into is finding where the tachometer sender is on this truck ive found conflicting advice some say on the pump some say flex plate... so im hoping someone can fill me in on where i can find the pickup and i can take it from there

another question has to do with the idle its pretty rough near teeth chattering, is this normal with this engine.. the problem is that one day while adjusting the freebee mods on the pump afterwards i took it out for a drive and it just happend to be the day the tach stopped working so i no longer have a base idle rpm to work with... so it may be an adjustment

ive also been looking into power upgades nothing crazy but somewhere near where the stock pump can reach with adjustments and light modification but a new turbo and cac system would seem a good place to start anf then fuel up to it as needed but some advice on these specs would be apreciated
