Default 40K mile & time to upgrade

First of all I am new to the forum also somewhat new to diesel trucks this one being my first. I have had it sence oct 07 it is model year 2008. I love the truck but I think it is time for some more power and better MPG. I am not looking to set power level so high as to start breaking thing just a mild upgrade. The following items is what I think would get me to where I want to be but lets see if other people come up with something that would be better. Here we go. sinister EGR delete kit, sinister 5" ss turbo back exhast no muffler, AirDog II 165, ARP head studs, Smarty Jr and a Sound bend 3250 clutch upgrade. This truck is a daily driver, but also pulls a 7000 to 18000 lbs trailer ie horses or RV. If this does not get the power I want then I may do a 50-75 hp fuel injector upgrade also.

You're on the right track!

If you're wanting more "safe" power I would think about EFI live. IMO best tuning on the market for the 07-09 6.7 other than that I'd recommend h&s nothing against smarty. Just personal preference. I like h&s for the built in gauges and EFI live for it's flexibility. However if you do end up going with a plug and play tuner gauges are something you should definitely look into at least a boost and pyrometer and maybe a trans temp. You're not going to go wrong with any of the three tuners as they're all top notch! Good luck with whatever you decide to do!

I've bought all my performance parts from this guy and he's never once disappointed.

Again, best of luck!

I agree, gauges would be a good idea. You might consider a cold air intake system as well. I'd do the EGR cooler delete too.

I'd say EFI Live for the tuner also its capable of makeing more power safely. Lazarsmith has tuned 1000 HP trucks with EFI one the stock bottom ends.
