Default replace or rebuilt 68rfe

been doing my research based on info from the fine experts on this site. I'm not finding much on replacing or rebuilding of the 68rfe tranny or as I call it the "weakest link" on my 2008 3500. any words of wisdom out there? I have looked at Goerends and DTT but they don't seem to list info on this tranny only the 48 series. TIA Richard
