Hi folks I have 95 GMC 1 ton 4x4 PMD went out i replaced it ! Now the WTS light or none of the other lights in dash isnt working ! Cleaned all the grounds and cables ..It cranks, headlighs and haards work ,but wont start and no turn signals . The only thing i can think of is the ignition switch or would the EMC cause the same effects ? Any help would be greatly appreciated

 

Check ign B fuse under the hood if bad then more than likely you have a bad ignition switch or a open short somewhere

 

Ive checked all the fuses ! what do you think about ECM ?

 

have you tried pulling codes yet?

 

no i dnt have a code reader ! i found ground for ECM under dash was lose thought that might have been it, but no such luck !

I took my first ride in 2 months !!!!! It is the ignition switch i took cover off botom of switch crossed red wire over to pink wire everthing started working fired right up !!!! thanks Mayhem for your help

 

NP bad1972 I am a G.M. guy and I have had a buttload of G.M. vehicals myself and worked in after market part sales for a few years and I can't think of a time that I or someone needed a ECM for a G.M. vehical sold a few to people after they or a "mechanic for 20 year friend" and the ECM was never the problem I know nothing lasts forever but I have yet to run across a bad G.M. ECM ty
