what upgrades can i do to make the turbo spool louder and spool closer to idle and what can i do to make her blow a little more smoke?

 

if you still have the stock turbo you can forget about making it louder ive been told a
C7 Catapiller turbo will bolt right up on a 6.5 and the spool up quick as for smoke a number 9 resitor will make it smoke a little bit more under accelleration

 

will the Catapillar turbo put out more boost?

 

yeah from what I was told and it spools up faster and has a good sound compared to the G.M. turbos which as we 6.5 owners know barely make any sound if and when my turbo takes a dump a C7 is what I will be putting on my truck

 

Holset hx40 from what I heard will work too.

I would put a 5"exhaust bigger crossover bigger down pipe and turbo master will make it sound good. Also check your intake manifold plenum it can have a rubber guard in it.

 

the rubber guard? do i take it out? and will it hurt anything?

also as far as the c7 turbo goes will it produce to much boost? ive hurd it can blow heads?

 

Yep you can take out the rubber gaurd and no it wont hurt anything,and no the C7 should'nt pust too much boost if it were to do so the truck would go into limp mode and to combat that you would have to a turbo master and that would take care of the problem.
